Woking's town-centre nightlife is concentrated around Chertsey Road, which runs from Commercial Way down towards the railway station, along with a scattering of traditional locals in the surrounding neighbourhoods.
The Herbert Wells
The Herbert Wells on Chertsey Road is Woking's large J D Wetherspoon pub, named — like so much in the town — after author H. G. Wells. It is a busy, central spot close to the station, popular for its all-day food and drink.
The Junction Tap
Also on Chertsey Road, The Junction Tap is a more modern bar known for craft beers, cocktails, and a lively events schedule, offering a contrast to the traditional pub next door.
Beyond the centre
Out towards Westfield on the south side of town, The Cricketers on Westfield Road is a traditional local overlooking Westfield Common — the kind of neighbourhood pub that gives the wider borough its character.
Making a night of it
